Workout plan based off of the popular movie 300.

Created by, Mark Twight.

So looking at the 300 workout, I see that this workout routine was like any other high intensitycircuit training program,

complete with plyometrics and unique exercises. However, it’s definitely not for beginners.

As a matter of fact, Kraemer, PhD, professor of kinesiology at the University of Connecticut.

Warns, (In a interview he give to www.webmd.com) “This program was done for a stylistic effect, to look like a Spartan,” he says.

“Forget about trying to do the graduation test right out of the box, he says. The out-of-shape person who starts The 300 graduation test is going to be dead the first day.

It's too extreme for the average person”.

As I scoured the internet to find the 300 hundred diet plan, I didn’t fine much.

My guest is that it probably consisted of high calories, carbohydrate, and protein intake during their peak training phases to maintain performance for their two hours of weight training and eight hour fighting training five days a week.

Then a trimming low carb phase for the actors that would be half clothed during scenes.

So what is “The 300 workout graduation test”?

I saw this article in the NYTimes... very interesting about how to workout in the heat: Drink a slushy first!

Here's the article with all the details... I'll have to try this on our next hot 10k run day.

Just saw this article about cramping and how to lessen their severity and even make them go away.... but the cure is not pretty: Pickle Juice!

This article talks about how athletes who drink pickle juice can eliminate cramping in about 85 seconds compared to just drinking water alone. I am not sure if the pickle juice is the key or just something super briny or salty. Might be worth seeing what happens if you drink a concentrated form of Gatorade or some other sports drink....
